Lumenpulse Redefines Area Lighting with Lumencentro and Lumentech Technical Pole

February 11, 2018

Lumenpulse’s Lumencentro, a breakthrough core light engine technology, and the Lumentech Smart Pole, a sleek, extruded aluminium pole with functional external rails, are designed to be integrated into the Lumenpulse area lighting product families.

“We set out to create products and innovative technologies that showcase the evolving synergies between area, flood and accent architectural lighting,” says Francois-Xavier Souvay, founder and CEO and of Lumenpulse Group. “We believe them to be the perfect syntheses of function, performance and design. Their versatility has the potential to change the way we think about area lighting and to create inspiring and safe nighttime environments that are visually comfortable.”

Following Lumenpulse’s philosophy to deliver exceptional light quality, the Lumencentro provides photometric performance with incredible efficacy (up to 130 lumens per watt with the Clearsite lens) and a choice of five optical distributions, including a Type V Square and a Type II with an 8:1 mounting height to spacing ratio.

The Lumencentro uses the proprietary Lumencool technology, an innovative thermal design system, allowing air to flow between the driver and LED board, maximizing the surface area, increasing output, and resulting in an unmatched calculated LED lifetime of up to 527,000 hours (at L70, projected, 25°C).

An innovative, integrated backlight shield allows for a greater ability to precisely control light distributions, eliminating obtrusive light and allowing projects to meet LEED certifications and conserve the integrity of the surrounding nighttime environment.
Fully integrated into the organically shaped Lumenpulse area lighting families, the Lumencentro is available in the Allegra, Pure and Steele product families and offers an array of features for area lighting, including a choice of outputs (ranging from 4,000lm to 21,000lm), optical distributions, six colour temperatures (3 SDCM at CRI 70+ and 2 SDCM at CRI 80+), and controls, making it an ideal choice for high-performance decorative area applications such as streets, parks and pedestrian plazas.

Coinciding with the new light engine launch, a Lumencentro Application Guide is available for download. This guide details the area lighting distributions in accordance to IES RP-08 14 standards and best uses of the Lumencentro, as well as information on the multitude of design possibilities and application options for area lighting.
