Winnipeg

Oct 21, 2018

The Winnipeg Construction Association is offering three Canadian Electrical Code courses in November.

Electrical Code: Common Defects — The Installations Contractors Keep Getting Wrong (November 7, 8:00-11:30) introduces participants to common and costly defects, teaches them how to look at an installation the way the inspector looks at it and tests their knowledge of the code with a series of installation photos where they get to be the inspector and write the defect.

Electrical Code: HAZLOC — Installations In Hazardous Locations (November 7, 12:15-3:45) clarifies the difference in the zone and class/division methods of area classification and where each applies. It also covers equipment selection, sealing requirements and methods and principals of protection based on the area classification.

Electrical Code: Conductors — Ampacity And Conductor Sizing (November 8, 8:00-11:30) teaches participants the difference between conductor size and ampacity, and how to effectively navigate the various rules and tables associated with conductor selection. Participants will also learn a series of repeatable steps to ensure they always have the right conductor for their installations.
