Clermont by Luminis Wins Red Dot Award

May 8, 2023

Luminis (www.luminis.com), an established innovator and manufacturer of specification-grade, interior and exterior lighting solutions, today announced its Clermont family of interior and exterior luminaires has received a 2023 Red Dot Design Award for Product Design.

Dating back to 1955, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions. The Red Dot Label has become established internationally as one of the most sought-after marks of quality for good design. As many as 50 international experts from different specialist areas are invited to test, discuss, and assess each product individually, awarding aesthetically appealing, functional, smart, or innovative products.

About Clermont Luminaire

Clermont luminaires feature a classic, beveled silhouette designed with a “curb to cube” family approach. Designers can mix and match optic requirements and mounting options to create a consistent design aesthetic and carry it from outdoors to indoors. Applications include roadways, pathways, public parks, university campuses, and indoor public spaces such as reception areas, hotel lobbies, or offices.

The geometry of the luminaire optimizes the spread of light, acting as a reflector to evenly cast shadow-free light onto the curved interior surface. A glare-managing comfort optic is available for exterior applications when pedestrian needs are the priority or to ensure occupant comfort in interior spaces. And an advanced high-output performance optic is offered for street and area illumination, enhancing visibility and reducing dark zones.

Clermont will be celebrated, with all award winners, during Red Dot Design Week in June.
