SaskPower and SaskEnergy Launch Energy Efficiency Discount Program

November 7, 2023

This fall, SaskPower and SaskEnergy are offering an instant in-store discount program on the purchase of select energy-efficient products across the province.

The program will run until November 26, 2023, or while supplies last. Customers are eligible for discounted prices on specialty LED lightbulbs, complete LED light fixtures, lighting controls and smart thermostats at over 60 retailers around Saskatchewan.

“SaskPower understands that affordability is a top concern for many of our customers, and we’re committed to helping them reduce their power use and lower their power bills,” said Rhea Brown, SaskPower Executive Vice-President of Customer Experience & Procurement. “This program is designed to help customers make their homes more efficient, and small changes can lead to noticeable savings on power bills.”

“SaskEnergy is dedicated to supporting our customers in achieving their environmental goals,” said Kevin Adair, Executive Vice-President of Customer Service Operations at SaskEnergy. “Programs like this one help customers meet their home energy needs while reducing their impact on the environment by reducing their end-use emissions.”

SaskPower and SaskEnergy are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and increased energy efficiency is an important part of achieving this commitment.

Not only can energy-efficient products help the environment, but they can also help lower costs. For instance, installing a smart thermostat can save at least eight per cent on your home’s annual energy use.
