EngWorks Partners with NAIT to Offer Hazardous Locations Fundamentals Course

February 6, 2024

EngWorks, a leader in explosion safety training and the first IECEx Recognized Training Provider in Canada, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). This collaboration brings the EngWorks’ Hazardous Locations Fundamentals course to NAIT’s Continuing Education Program, offering expertise and training in the field of explosion safety.

The Hazardous Locations Fundamentals course, designed for a diverse audience including electricians, electrical engineers, safety officers, and inspectors, provides comprehensive insights into the complexities of hazardous locations. This course is particularly timely, considering the Canadian Electrical Code updates related to hazardous locations and the need to improve explosion safety in the workplace.

Susanne Cardwell, Marketing Director at EngWorks, states, “This partnership with NAIT marks a significant milestone in explosion safety education in Canada. We are thrilled to offer a course that not only addresses current industry needs but also underscores our commitment to enhancing explosion safety in facilities that handle flammable gas/liquids and combustible dust products.

EngWorks is recognized as an IECEx Recognized Training Provider. “Being the first company in Canada to achieve this status reflects our dedication to excellence in safety training. Our collaboration with NAIT, a leading technical institute in Alberta, further reinforces our commitment to delivering top-tier educational programs,” added Cardwell.
