Eureka Wins Multiple GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards

October 10, 2024

Eureka is pleased to announce that it has received seven awards in the 17th edition of the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards, all in the Product/Industrial Design/Lighting Fixture-Indoor category.

GRANDS
MARRO

Joli and Marro received GOLD CERTIFICATION, Frank, Tangram-Essential, and Tangram-Cut received SILVER CERTIFICATION, and Elke and Tangram-Tact were recognized with a BRONZE CERTIFICATION.

The GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards is an international competition that celebrates the excellence and talent of creative professionals and firms who have distinguished themselves through exemplary practice. Created in Montreal in 2007, the original mission was to recognize the excellence of Quebec designers and architects. The competition was expanded to include international entries in 2020. A multidisciplinary jury of global judges includes leading international designers, architects, professors, entrepreneurs, and distinguished press.

JOLI

Joli, Marro, and Elke pendants feature rich colors, large-scale formats, and simple shapes, all with acoustic properties. The trio’s aesthetics were inspired by the Color Field painting movement of the 1950s, where artists experimented with the power of color in large areas.

Frank features a thermoformed shade made from sound-absorbing recycled PET felt that increases acoustic comfort in a space. Measuring 24.5” in diameter and 16.7” in height, the Frank shade is available in a palette of 22 colors.

The Tangram family is defined by bold four-inch-wide straps, which can be configured into various geometries using spacers that pull in or push out the straps to create striking shapes. A flat power cable is fully concealed inside each strap.

Tangram-Essential features a honeycomb or prismatic lens. The 8-inch cylinder provides excellent visual impact at the base of the bold four-inch-wide straps, which can be configured and suspended in multiple ways. Tangram-Essential brings geometric interest to lobbies and informal lounges or meeting areas.

FRANK
TANGRAM – ESSENTIAL

Precision machining from a solid glass block gives the Tangram-Cut pendant its striking, jewel-like feel. Internal frosting and a distinctive concave bottom help to diffuse light from the 8-inch diameter luminaire. The unique aesthetic is suited to luxurious environments such as high-end hospitality settings.

Warm, soft curves define Tangram-Tact. A COB light source, deeply recessed within the 12-inch diameter housing, reduces glare and increases user comfort. Precision light control can highlight specific areas such as seating areas, pathways, or corridors.

Award winners will be celebrated at a gala in Montreal on October 3, 2024.
