March 7, 2025

Leviton Canada is thrilled to announce the unveiling of their new conveyor system at the Pointe-Claire (Quebec) distribution center, designed to boost efficiency and enhance service for their valued customers across Canada. With cutting-edge automation and improved accuracy, we’re ready to handle your orders faster and more reliably than ever before. This project represents a substantial Canadian investment, reflecting our dedication to supporting local infrastructure and contributing to the national economy.

On January 29th, we officially inaugurated our new conveyor system, with employees from the Canadian head office and warehouse in attendance to celebrate the occasion and this significant milestone. At the ceremony Elias Loisos, Director of Operations, Distribution stated “the PointeClaire conveyor project aimed to replace an aging system that required frequent repairs and posed a business risk. The new system was designed to improve space utilization, automate manual tasks, and increase efficiency and capacity. Despite the challenges during implementation, the project ensured no customer orders were delayed, and the new sorter operates at twice the speed and with significantly better accuracy compared to the original, positioning Leviton Canada for future growth”.

Some of the key advantages of the new system include:

  • Streamlined processes, enhanced productivity, optimized performance, and increased reliability
  • Automated print and apply of shipping labels with state-of-the-art applicators
  • System speed of 30 boxes per minute
  • Efficient, accurate, and increased sorting capacity
  • Flexibility in product handling
  • Improved operational flow and space utilization
  • Human Machine Interface for monitoring system health and troubleshooting
  • New ergonomically designed shipping stations and reduced noise levels.
