Stanpro Makes Significant Donation to Help Haven on the Queensway Move to a Larger Facility

June 23, 2025

In an effort to provide essential resources to individuals and families in need in the GTA, EFC members once again stepped up to support Haven on the Queensway, a community resource centre in Etobicoke, ON.

Earlier this year, Haven secured a new, larger location nearby its existing facility to meet growing demand to expand its services with one catch — it needed extensive repairs. Haven then embarked on a campaign to raise $250,000 to cover the costs of critical renovations such as roof repairs and construction supplies.

John Jefkins, former EFC VP of Member Engagement and President of the Board at Haven, reached out to members in the electrical community, including Leslie Clarke, President at Paul Wolf Lighting & Electric Supply Ltd. With a history of facilitating food drives and other community support initiatives, Clarke was quick to support John’s request and reached out to Rob Nadler, President at Stanpro. Without hesitation, Nadler agreed to help Haven by supplying lighting products including 600 LED T8 4ft bulbs to replace existing aged and burnt-out fluorescent bulbs and about 20 2ft U-Bulbs.

Clarke credits Stanpro with going over and above to help out a deserving organization.

“Stanpro is just that type of company; they have great relationships with their customers, and if it meant a lot to Wolf and me, then they were right there to support the cause,” Clarke says.

“I truly appreciate the relationship Wolf and Stanpro have.”

For Nadler, he sees the donation as a way to give back to the community, which aligns well with Stanpro’s core values.

“Giving back is a fundamental value of our organization, and we are proud to be able to contribute to these causes,” he says.
