Industry Veteran Jim Cumming Passes at 85

Jim Cumming

We truly lost another great foundation builder to the Canadian electrical industry on May 12. Jim Cumming had a long and successful business career starting with Canada Wire & Cable and later with Ruddy Electric. Laterally Jim assumed a key role in guiding Westburne in its growth.  Jim thoroughly enjoyed his professional career and the many cherished friendships it brought throughout the years.

Sadly Jim Cumming passed away peacefully on May 12, 2015 at Scarborough Grace Hospital and surrounded by family. Jim was in his 85th year. Predeceased only two months by Joan his wife of 59 years. Loving father of Michael (wife Sue), Michelle (husband Savas Kyriacou), David (wife Wendy) and Lisa (husband Lou Mastrangelo). Loving remembered by his six grandchildren Michael, Melissa, Jonathon, Jessica, Matthew and Brooke.

For details please visit the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd. 416-267-4656. As Jim was a lifelong supporter of the Hospital for Sick Children, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation.
