2015 Georgian College Trades Expo Featuring Women in Trades Event

Women In Electrical

 

Georgian College’s Midland, ON campus recently held a trades expo, highlighting the opportunities for entry into and advancement within the electrical trades.

Trades Expo was open to anyone wishing to learn more about education in trades and career possibilities, with a special focus being given to high school students and women.  Students participated in hands-on, instructor lead workshops and were able to see all of the available resources on site.  One evening was dedicated specifically to women who are interested in learning about trades and the keynote speaker along with a panel of women who have recently participated in the programs offered a very relevant perspective into experience and opportunity.
