Contribute to LEED in Canada by Joining a CaGBC Committee or Advisory Group

Ca GBC

Interested in contributing to the growth of the green building movement and helping set the direction of the LEED program? The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) is now accepting applications for the LEED Canada Steering Committee and all three Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs). The deadline for submitting is Monday, September 28, at noon ET. CaGBC invites all qualified CaGBC members to apply.

The steering committee provides policy, technical and market oversight of the LEED program in Canada. It is responsible for

• ensuring the integration and consistency between LEED products

• development and implementation of LEED Canada documentation and guidance

• ensuring ongoing maintenance of existing LEED products in Canada

• integration between LEED products in Canada and other products the CaGBC supports

The TAGs provide technical guidance to the Council and are focused into three areas of expertise: energy and engineering, sites and water, and materials. These advisory groups ensure that the development and administration of CaGBC products meet the objective of being grounded in technical and scientific considerations of the highest quality. The Energy & Engineering TAG addresses technical issues in two categories: energy atmosphere, and indoor environmental quality.
