SACO takes home the Award for Architectural Luminaire-Exterior at the 2016 Lighting Design Awards

On the eve of May 5th, 2016, SACO was the winner in the Lighting Design Awards 2016 category Architectural Luminaire – Exterior for its Shockwave ALFA fixture.

Projects spanning 17 countries across the world – including Poland, Croatia, Azerbaijan, Canada, the US, Italy, Germany, the UAE, Iran, Australia, China, Spain, Poland, and Turkey – were celebrated and rewarded at the 40th Lighting Design Awards in the UK. In attendance were over 700 designers, architects, and suppliers.

The lineup of judges described SACO’s fixture as “an exceptional piece of engineering that stood out miles from the rest”.

“It’s a great moment for us. We’re proud to be amongst such talent and those who share a passion for advancements in Lighting. SACO has always been a pioneer and strives to nurture a culture that allows for innovation; receiving this award gives credit to our extraordinary team’s achievements.” said Fred Jalbout, Chairman & CEO of SACO Technologies Inc.

Some examples of projects using the Shockwave ALFA fixtures include the renowned Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE, digital carwash experience locations in Canada, and the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in the USA just to name a few.
