X-TELIA Deploys Intelligent Parking Solution in the Street of Montreal

X-TELIA

September 20, 2017

The intelligent parking solution offered by X-TELIA works with LoRAWAN wireless technology, a world leader in low power, ultra long-range, high-security and low-cost communication.

This technology makes it possible to detect the presence of a vehicle in a parking space thanks to a wireless sensor with battery buried in the asphalt that can operate for 9 years without recharging.

This technology, which is entering the Quebec market, will enable Quebec cities to optimize the parking of vehicles on the street and in dedicated parking lots, while enabling citizens to quickly find available locations. This is one of the many applications for smart cities now offered by X-TELIA in Quebec.

The X-TELIA network is the first LoRaWAN public network in Quebec, one of the few in Canada. Proud to be powering the Internet of Things Revolution.
