September 9 is the deadline for nominating someone for a 2015 Women of Distinction (Wind) CanWEA award; October 1,for the Woman of the Year (Energy)APPrO award.

Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE)’s Women of Distinction Awards recognize and celebrate professional women working in the energy sector who• go above and beyond business as usual
• consistently demonstrate outstanding leadership
• have contributed significantly to the expansion and improvement of the power sector.

WiRE presents three Women of Distinction Awards annually: Wind Power, Solar Power and Woman of the Year.

The Woman of Distinction (Wind) CanWEA award will be presented at the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA)’s Annual Conference and Exhibition, October 5 to 7, in Toronto, ON: http://windenergyevent.ca/.

The Woman of the Year (Energy) APPrOwill be presented at the 27th annual Canadian Power Banquet, during the Canadian Power Conference hosted by the Association of Power Producers of Ontario (APPrO): http://appro.org/.
