EB Horsman & Son Expansion in Alberta: New Grande Prairie Branch Opening 2026

May 25, 2026

EB Horsman & Son have announced they are expanding in Northern Alberta with a new branch coming to Grande Prairie. As one of the fastest‑growing cities in the province and a major hub for the oil and gas, forestry, and agriculture sectors, Grande Prairie is a natural fit for their continued growth and long-term investment in Alberta. A soft opening is planned for August 1, 2026.

Built for the Community

For 126 years, EB Horsman & Son has supported customers across Western Canada—and for more than 65 years, they’ve proudly served businesses throughout the Peace River Country region. Opening a branch in Grande Prairie allows the company to deepen that long-standing commitment by providing closer access to products, technical expertise, and the reliable service local customers have trusted for decades.

The Grande Prairie location is designed as an efficient branch model shaped by the best practices we’ve learned from opening previous branches. This format helps grow responsibly and ensures customers are supported right away while continuing to expand services over time.

Serving Grande Prairie with More Solutions

Supported by their technical divisions and customer service teams, the Grande Prairie branch will offer a full range of electrical, lighting, and data communications products, plus process, automation, and control solutions. As an authorized Siemens distributor, they also bringing power distribution, process instrumentation, and automation lines that were previously unavailable locally. Customers can access counter service, delivery, and fast next‑day inventory transfers across our network, along with value‑added support such as quotations, product recommendations, site inspections, audits, and project assistance.

A Strong Commitment to Alberta

Our expansion into Grande Prairie reflects our long-term commitment to Alberta,” said Tyson Carvell, VP of Marketing. “We are bringing a combination of inventory, technical strength, and product lines that are not currently available in the region, backed by the resources of a 126yearold Western Canadian independent company.”

Career Opportunities

As EB Horsman & Son prepare for their opening in Grande Prairie, they are building a team that reflects the same commitment to service, technical strength, and local support that customers have come to expect from EB Horsman & Son. From leadership to warehouse and sales roles, these opportunities are about more than filling positions—they’re about establishing a branch that will support the region for years to come. Keep an eye on the company’s Careers Page for upcoming opportunities to be part of it.
