LaPlante Joins the Champion Fiberglass® Manufacturers Representative Network in Quebec

January 26, 2026

Champion Fiberglass® welcomes LaPlante as the new representative agency for Quebec. With deep roots in Canada’s electrical industry and a reputation built over multiple generations, the firm brings experience, steady leadership, and a clear understanding of the province’s commercial and industrial markets.

LaPlante carries the distinction of being one of the oldest electrical agencies in Canada. The company’s story began in 1955 when Principal Patrick LaPlante’s grandfather founded the business in HVAC. Over the years, the firm expanded into electrical work as Patrick’s father and uncle led the company through the 1970s and 1980s. “Today, Patrick continues the family legacy alongside his uncle with a focus on heavy commercial, residential, lighting, and mining. This long-standing presence in Quebec gives the agency a detailed view of regional trends and customer needs, an advantage that aligns well with Champion Fiberglass products.

“From the outset, our conversations with LaPlante were constructive and collaborative,” says Scott Patchan, Executive Vice President of Champion Fiberglass. “Their long-standing presence in Quebec and their commitment to serving customers with care make them an excellent match for our team. We’re pleased to have them representing our conduit solutions in the province.”

LaPlante has already seen interest from several sectors such as transportation and hydropower and has begun quoting opportunities across the region. Upcoming training at the Champion Fiberglass factory will also support their team as they continue mastering the product line and preparing for hands-on customer conversations.

According to Patrick LaPlante, the experience so far has been positive. “Joining the Champion Fiberglass network feels like a natural step for us. Our team values strong relationships, and we’ve seen that same approach from Champion from day one. We’re excited about the growth potential in Quebec and about bringing a product to customers that offers clear advantages.” Champion Fiberglass looks forward to supporting LaPlante as they expand awareness of fiberglass conduit throughout the province.
