Saint John Energy Adding Three Tesla Megapack Batteries

Recently, three new Tesla Megapack batteries were delivered to Saint John Energy’s Somerset station, the utility announced on LinkedIn, “giving us access to the largest battery capacity of any electrical utility in Eastern Canada to date, thanks in large part to Natural Resources Canada/Ressources naturelles Canada.”
“These new batteries will be installed and ready for use in early 2024, allowing us to store up electricity at times of low demand and use it to head off or soften peak demand this coming winter, which lowers our costs and avoids greenhouse gas emissions.”
