Thomas & Betts to Award $3500 EFC Scholarship

TNB Scholarship

The Thomas & Betts Scholarship Award, part of Electro-Federation Canada (EFC)’s 2015 scholarship program, is more than a scholarship. It’s an opportunity to change your life by demonstrating your determination to succeed. The award will be granted to a student who has completed at least the second year of a post-secondary program in engineering (industrial, mechanical or electrical) or in operation management, who has maintained a minimum cumulative average of 75%, and who has demonstrated community involvement.

Now in its 20th year, the EFC scholarship program will award a record $120,500 across 52 scholarships. Engaging university and college students is critical in our industry, says JorisMyny, Chair of Electro-Federation Canada (EFC)’s scholarship program and a senior vice president of Siemens Canada Limited. Myny describes the scholarship program as more than funding students. “It is an opportunity to promote our industry in every Canadian university and college and showcase the electrical industry as a viable career choice in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Management, Operations, Information Technology and Human Resources.
