Electrical Equipment Buyers’ Online Activities

Did you ever have a potential customer who should have been excited about doing business with you but seemed reserved? It happened in a weird way for me.
As part of the Electrical Safety Authority’s (ESA) ongoing efforts to help reduce illegal and unsafe electrical work, ESA inspectors will be conducting blitzes in Toronto to educate homeowners on the requirement to file a notification of work and identify any safety hazards that may have occurred from unlicensed electrical work.
The electrical utility market’s industrial and commercial sectors represent 81% of the market. Residential comes in third with just 5% of the market mix.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is currently writing the 802.3bt standard, which will double the amount of power delivered to end devices. The current 25.5 W will increase to approximately 71 W, which is an increase of a factor of approximately 3. This new type of Power over Ethernet (PoE) is commonly referred to as PoE++ or 4 Pair PoE (4PPoE), and allows devices such as next generation wireless access points, security cameras with pan, tilt, zoom, and heating elements, and larger displays to operate under the new PoE standard.
The other day I came across an interesting article that takes us back to some early innovations regarding the use of electric motors in manufacturing facilities. The article titled “The Electric Motor in Factories”, and was published in Science by the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1889.
