Marcia Ranger is a master construction and maintenance electrician, as well as a college professor at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario under the Electrical Engineering Technician program. She went back to school at Cambrian College in her early thirties, where she completed the Electrical Techniques program.
As part of Electro-Federation Canada (EFC)’s 2015 scholarship program, GE Lighting is offering a $3,500 Community Leadership Award. Among respondents, residential electricians with less than one year earn $16/hour. Electricians with 1-4 years earn $23, while those with 20+ years earn $33.
The new electrical code includes several changes to support electrical workers in the safe installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. It came into effect on January 1, 2020.
