Canadian municipalities issued $8.4 billion in building permits in January, up 5.6% following a 2.5% rise in December.
Alberta has the highest median hourly rate for electrical contractors at $30.52. Alberta’s rate is followed closely by Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
The Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, is an integral part of the Canadian electrical safety system — a system that works hard by design to keep, electricians, consumers, and the public safe from harm.
Rule 70-000 notes that this is a supplementary or amendatory section of the code and applies to the electrical installation of factory-built, relocatable, and non-relocatable structures including mobile homes, mobile commercial and industrial structures, factory-built residential housing, and factory-built commercial and industrial structures. These Rules do not apply to recreational vehicles covered by the CSA Z240 RV Series.
Canadian municipalities issued building permits worth $6.1 billion in February, edging down 0.9% from the previous month. This was the second consecutive monthly decline. Lower construction intentions in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta were responsible for the decrease at the national level.
