The new Arteche Submersible Voltage Transformers Prevent Flood-related Damage

Arteche 400

Feb 15, 2019

Arteche introduces the new range of Submersible Voltage Transformers suited for underground MV distribution in flood-prone areas for 19 feet (about 6 meters) intermittent submersible application.

The UENS (single phase) and VENS (two phases) are submersible voltage transformers designed to be installed in underground vaults, pad mounted equipment and other MV equipment, avoiding both service interruption and flood-related damage. These transformers are maintenance free and, due to its dielectric properties and mechanical strength, they have a long mechanical and electrical life.

These voltage or potential transformers are rated for use up to 34.5kV and up to 200kV BIL. The medium voltage terminals are bushing wells compatible with IEEE 386 interfaces.

They are available in three nominal voltages: 15kV, 25kV and 34.5kV.

  • Primary voltage ratios are available from 20:1 to 300:1 ratios and for use for 15kV, 25 & 34.5kV respectively, GY/Y systems.
  • The voltage transformer has the capability to offer a secondary voltage with a tap (X1-X2-X3).
  • Secondary connections are available up to 26 feet (8 meters) length of submersible wire.
