This in-depth, in-person technical session will explore the design, application, and regulatory requirements of wire and cable systems used in industrial buildings across North America. Delivered by industry experts from Nexans Canada, the session combines foundational knowledge with practical insights, including a live demonstration of innovative Nexans products.

Details

Please note: participants will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to attend the demonstration.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand industrial cable design, manufacturing, and testing standards
  • Identify different types of industrial cables and distinguish between armoured and unarmoured power cable applications
  • Learn about conductors, insulation materials, armouring, shielding, shield bonding methods, voltage ratings, flame spread ratings, hazardous locations, low smoke zero halogen ratings, acid gas emissions
  • Apply best practices for cable installation
  • Interpret relevant electrical codes as they apply to industrial cable systems
  • What to expect during a Verification
  • What to expect during an Integrated Systems Test
