Section 68: Pools, Tubs, and Spas – Self-Paced Online Training

This course is part of the CSA Group Modular Online Training Program. This online course provides an overview of Section 68 in the 2024 Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. Rather than reviewing the Code in its entirety, this course is designed to provide an overview of Section 68 of the CE Code.

This Section applies to:

a) electrical installations and electrical equipment in or adjacent to pools; and

b) non-electrical metal accessories in a pool or within 3 m of the inside wall of a pool.

A certificate of achievement is provided upon completion of the course.

For nearly 90 years, the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I has been and continues to be a comprehensive model Code that provides guidance to help make electrical installations and equipment safer.

Learning Objectives

After taking this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify requirements for electrical installations and electrical equipment in or adjacent to pools.
  • Describe installation requirements for pools and related non-metal accessories.

Target Audience

All professionals, apprentices and students in the electrical industry.
