Juno Trac Introduces a Direct Canopy Mount Option

July 2, 2024

Track fixture mounts directly to an electrical junction box for faster installation, cleaner ceilings, simplified code compliance, and more dimming options.

Juno (junolighting.com), an established leader in the manufacture of downlighting and track lighting, introduces a direct canopy mount option in which the fixture mounts directly to an electrical junction box. This trackless alternative is ideal for any single-head applications that are expected to remain static over time, such as lighting artwork, niche lighting, or any other type of accent lighting. Canopy-mounted lighting fixtures can be mounted on the ceiling or on walls, and in practically any orientation.

This new direct canopy mount option is available with line voltage phase-dimming or 0-10V dimming, resulting in greater compatibility with other luminaires in dimming applications. All versions are standard universal voltage 120-277V (MVOLT); a 347V option is even available on most series for commercial applications in Canada.

Unlike with track or Monopoint mounting, with this direct canopy mount option, heads can only be replaced by a qualified electrician, so power consumption remains fixed. This can help simplify compliance with energy codes, giving building owners and inspectors confidence that power consumption will remain constant over time. The direct canopy mount option is also certified for Damp Location applications, making it ideal for indoor or covered outdoor applications that are well protected against the elements (porches, patios, gazebos, awnings, etc.), but might be exposed to condensation and humidity.

The canopy mount option is available on over 20 different Juno® Trac series, giving designers a variety of aesthetics, lumen packages, price points, and performance options to choose from.
