On May 28 Patricia Mohr, Corporate Director & Economist/Commodity Market Specialist, outlines the Global Economic Outlook for 2020-2021 and The Implications for Commodity Markets Important to B.C and Canada. Patricia will talk about the economic outlook for the world, Canada and B.C., financial market conditions (interest rates & currencies) and key commodity markets — copper, gold, oil & LNG.

Patricia Mohr

Patricia Mohr is the former Vice-President, Economics and Commodity Market Specialist at Scotiabank’s Executive Offices in Toronto (until April 2016). Ms. Mohr worked closely with Corporate and Investment Banking – including the Mining and Oil & Gas teams – with Commercial Banking and with Global Risk Management. Patricia prepared the Metal and Oil & Gas price forecasts for credit evaluations at The Bank and presented regularly to clients at home and abroad – especially in China, Peru, Chile, Mexico and London. Ms. Mohr holds an Honours B.A. Degree and an M.A. Degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia. Patricia is a Director of Alumni UBC and is on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Faculty of Applied Science (including engineering).
