I once took a class where the professor would explain concepts in two ways. First, he would dive into the mathematics behind the idea, filling the whiteboard with equations and showing how they all related to one another.
Only once in my life has time stood still. I can’t describe that brief period as bad or upsetting or even traumatic. All of those descriptors require an emotion to be present, so none of them would be an accurate portrayal.
