Where Industrial Electricians Work: 2013-2015

Canadian municipalities issued $7.9 billion worth of building permits in July, down 3.5% from June and the first decrease since March 2017. Lower construction intentions for commercial buildings and multi-family dwellings were mainly responsible for the national decline. The total value of permits was down in seven provinces, led by lower construction intentions for multi-family dwellings and commercial buildings in Ontario.
Spending on new residential construction totalled $4.2 billion in April, up 8.4% from the same month a year earlier…
On August 29, 2017 Yvon Richer of Orleans, Ontario was convicted in an Ottawa court and ordered to pay a $10,000 fine plus a 25% ($2,500) victim fine surcharge for advertising for electrical work without a licence.
This graph shows the average pay by experience for automation and control engineers. Interestingly, pay dips slightly in the 10-20 year experience range, though the graph ultimatley displays a positive trend. The average salary for engineers in this field has the potential to nearly double by mid-career.
