Boîtiers STA & NOARK: Powering Reliability Across Public& Private Sectors
Enclosures from Boitiers STA equipped with NOARK Breakers, Rotary Handles, Pilot Lights installed at a leading Wild Life Sanctuary in Canada

Innovative Beginnings

With over 40 years of field experience, electrical contractor Guy St-Amour developed an innovative product that led to the founding of Boîtiers STA. In 2011, a special request for a safe outlet for an 800-amp mobile load bank resulted in the prototype for a line of custom-made boxes designed for quick and secure electrical connections. Boîtiers STA quickly grew from a garage operation into a thriving business, now co-owned by Guy’s daughter, Karianne St-Amour.

Award-Winning STA Box

The STA box with Cam-Lok® connectors won the MCEE trade show award for new electrical products due to its:

  • Enhanced safety for mobile generator connections
  • Labor savings with Camlok connectors and circuit breakers
  • Innovative stainless steel NEMA 3R form

Choosing NOARK

Boîtiers STA turned to NOARK when their previous supplier discontinued its 1200A circuit breaker. Karianne St-Amour says, “We really like the NOARK product, and everything about the company: efficient service, quick delivery, extended warranty. Our customers appreciate the product, so we have decided to continue with NOARK as they are always coming up with unique products and features. The frame is not only more appealing, but more effective and safer. Clients also love the warranty and quality – this opens up new opportunities in new markets and puts us ahead of the curve.”

NOARK Solutions for Boîtiers STA

  • MCCB Breakers up to 1200A: Ensure seamless power connection from generators in case of load bank tests, and are also used during retrofitting of generators and for equipment protection.
  • Pilot Lights and Rotary Handles: For phased rotations before connecting to the breaker and Camlok box, providing warnings if they are in reversal, and preventing potential damage to the infrastructure.

NOARK’s Advantages

  • Faster Delivery: Warehouses in Ontario & California ensure quicker access to products in about 3-4 weeks, reducing costs and lead times, especially for larger projects.
  • Top-notch Sales and Service: Boîtiers STA works with NOARK’s manufacturer’ rep, Prosynergic, who are prompt in responding to any issue. For example, when a customer broke one of the circuit breakers during a crucial project, Prosynergic quickly obtained a replacement from the local warehouse for the customer, so he could conduct business as usual.
  • High Quality & Extended Warranty
Customers appreciate NOARK’s reliable products and comprehensive warranty.
Karianne states, “We have never had complaints about the quality of the breakers from our customers. We also offer them NOARK’s 5-year warranty, so if anything goes wrong, they know that NOARK will always repair and replace it.”

Spotlight:

Keeping Animals safe and warm at leading Parks in Canada

Canada is proud of its wildlife and dedicated to their protection. To keep precious wildlife habitats, observatories and visitor housings operating safely, Boitiers STA and NOARK work together to provide enclosures and breakers to protect the circuits in parks & conservation areas.

Fun Fact! During COVID, a leading Wildlife Park was looking for a miracle to launch their immersive animal-themed experience, due to the short supply of specialized enclosures with integrated circuit breakers to safeguard the circuits. Thanks to our rapid response, they were able to launch ahead of schedule and showcase their new units without delay!

Real-World Applications

  • Hospitals: Generators are powered and ready to maintain critical power supply to crucial hospital equipment.
  • Fire & Police Stations: Quick, safe power connections with breakers and Camlok boxes for fires and other emergencies.
  • Construction Sites: Enclosed breaker units with Camlok boxes ensure quick and safe power connection from the temporary power source to the site, safeguarding workers and protecting them from disasters in the field.

Boîtiers STA & NOARK’s dedication to Safety

  • Safety-Focused Design: Both companies have built thoughtfully engineered Camlok boxes, breakers of the highest quality and error-free assemblies, ensuring protection for users, equipment and environment.
  • Load Bank Testing: Canada’s new laws demand these tests annually. Hence, Boîtiers STA only uses the most reliable breakers with shunt trips to ensure power connections from the generator to the load banks seamlessly. The shunt trip allows for emergency shutdowns when required.
  • Retrofitting Older Generators: NOARK MCCBs enable safe, cost-effective upgrades without replacing the entire generator systems.
Normand Lalonde of Prosynergic says, “Guy St-Amour is a thought leader in the generator industry, and experts from all over rely on his training and expertise. The fact that Guy uses NOARK breakers is the best endorsement, as he would never use or recommend sub-standard products!”
  • Regulatory Compliance: Boîtiers STA understands and adheres to stringent Canadian electrical codes, ensuring regular inspections and safe installations with NOARK’s CSA and cUL approved products.

Conclusion

Boîtiers STA and NOARK share a commitment to safety and innovation, ensuring reliable power solutions across Canada. Their partnership continues to set high industry standards while delivering cutting-edge electrical products.
