Crouse-Hinds Series CGB2, CGE2 and CGFP Non-Armored Glands

Crouse-Hinds series CGB2, CGE2 and CGFP non-armored glands are designed as a means for passing a cord, unarmored cable or flexible conduit into an enclosure or lighting solution.

These glands form an environmental seal for cord or unarmored round cables using multiple-colored grommets to address wider cable sealing ranges.  They also form a secure connection or termination for flexible cord, cable (unarmored) or flexible conduit.

When installed in accordance with NEC501.10(B)(4), CGB2, CGE2 and CGFP non-armored glands are suitable for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations.

And now the CGB2 and CGE2 non-armored glands are available with enhanced features and benefits for higher temperature applications and ease of installation.

  • Flexible cord types: S, SO, STO, ST, SJ, SJT, SJTO and SVO
  • Tray cable types: TC, TC-ER, TC-ER-HLA, ITC, ITC-ER, ITC-HL, PLTC and PLTC-ER
  • Type P

Certifications and compliances

  • cULus Listed – UL File No. E23223
  • Suitable for use in wet locations
  • CGB2 and CGE2 are suitable for -40°C to +100°C temperature ranges for tray cables/Type P and -40°C to +80°C for flexible cords
  • CGB2, CGE2 and CGFP models are suitable for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations when installed in accordance with NEC501.10(B)(4)
  • NEMA 3R (all models)
  • NEMA 4 (1/2” to 3” steel only)
  • NEMA 4X (1/2” to 1-1/2” aluminum only)

  • Rugged, durable construction protects cords and cables from damage and compact design permits close grouping of several cords and/or cables
  • Wire mesh grips available for added strain relief
  • Available with NPT threads
  • Multiple colored grommets to address a wider cable sealing range

Standard materials

  • CGB2 bodies and gland nuts – steel with zinc electroplate and chromate finish or Feraloy iron alloy with electrogalvanized and aluminum acrylic paint; also available in all aluminum construction
  • CGE2 bodies – Feraloy iron alloy
  • CGE2 gland nuts – steel 
  • CGFP bodies and gland nuts – turned steel or Feraloy iron alloy
  • Bushings – silicone
