Cyclone Lighting Introduces T3M Optical Lens

November 16, 2025

Cyclone Lighting has introduced a new version of the T3M optical lens. This lens was specifically designed for cities seeking to modernize their lighting infrastructure by replacing prismatic globes with full-cutoff luminaires.

T3M

The T3M optical lens is a full cutoff lens with a BUG rating of U0, ensuring 0% uplight. It provides a light distribution as wide as a prismatic globe, with precise control at 80°, exceptional uniformity, and significantly reduced glare. It was intended to replace Acorn-style prismatic globe luminaires, thereby eliminating uplight and supporting the reduction of light pollution. And unlike standard T3 optical lenses, the T3M supports existing pole spacing without creating dark zones between luminaires.

T3M is available in packages from P05 to P150, delivering outputs from 2,500 to 31,500 lumens. It is compliant with ANSI/IES RP-8-22 roadway lighting recommendations. And its IP66 rating ensures it withstands demanding environments.

Designed internally, the optical lens seamlessly integrates into Cyclone’s Orion optical system. It is therefore compatible with all Cyclone luminaires featuring this system. With styles ranging from traditional to contemporary, this allows cities to preserve their unique urban aesthetics while meeting both technical and environmental requirements.

Full details about the T3M optical lens are available here.
