HELUCHAIN TOPSERV: New Servo Cables for Drag Chains

January 19, 2026

HELUKABEL is expanding its range of HELUCHAIN cables for use in highly dynamic drag chain applications. With the HELUCHAIN TOPSERV 201 PVC UL/CSA and the HELUCHAIN TOPSERV 211 PUR UL/CSA, we’re introducing two high-quality servo cables that are especially suited for sliding applications with long travel distances, such as in material handling and port systems. Users can select between two different sheath materials that are optimised for the requirements of different applications.

The HELUCHAIN TOPSERV 201-PVC UL/CSA and the HELUCHAIN TOPSERV 211-PUR UL/CSA are designed to connect servo motors in drive technology. To this end, these orange servo cables are equipped with an additional, screened twisted pair which are intended for the temperature control or brakes of the motor. With a minimum bending radius of a mere 7.5 x d (outer diameter), these highly flexible cables score points in dynamic applications such as drag chains.

Users can select between two outer sheath materials: the cost-effective PVC provides high durability even under constant movement. For applications where oil resistance, low temperatures, or zero halogens are required, PUR is the ideal solution. Both variations have a screen with 85% coverage and a flat braid angle to prevent EMC interference.

One reason for these cables’ excellent durability is their pressure-extruded inner sheath. This fills the gussets in the stranding so that the cores are precisely guided longitudinally, and so that the high-quality, overall screen has a stable contact area during bending. This allows HELUCHAIN TOPSERV cables to withstand millions of bending cycles in practice, even in extreme applications.

The HELUCHAIN TOPSERV 201-PVC UL/CSA and the HELUCHAIN TOPSERV 211-PUR UL/CSA are available with primary cores with cross sections from 1.5 to 6 mm². Customers can expect robust and durable servo cables that ensure reliable machine and plant operation, even when subjected to demanding movements.
