Legrand, a global leader in electrical and digital building infrastructures, has announced the availability of the new Connectrac® Tamper-Resistant Receptacle Device, a significant enhancement to its Flex® and Express Kit floor-based cable management solutions. The plug-in receptacle device is designed to meet stringent safety codes, allowing Flex and Express Kit raceways to seamlessly integrate power and connectivity into projects that require tamper-resistance and flexible power solutions and is ideal for education and healthcare spaces.

“Safety is paramount, especially in schools and healthcare facilities where reliable and secure power access is non-negotiable,” said Rigels Guni, Senior Product Manager, Legrand. “The new Tamper-Resistant Device enables electrical engineers and contractors to specify and install a floor-based power and data distribution system that meets the National Electrical Code (NEC). It provides peace of mind and unparalleled flexibility for evolving layouts.”

The Connectrac portfolio provides floor-based power and data access with minimal impact on architecture, offering a simple retrofit option that avoids the inconvenience of core drilling or trenching.

Key product features and benefits of the new tamper-resistant receptacle include:
  • Enhanced safety: Secures power connections and prevents electrical hazards, with low-profile options that meet ADA standards.
  • Code compliance: Meets NEC requirements for tamper-resistant receptacles in education and healthcare settings.
  • Seamless integration: Integrates effortlessly into Flex and Express Kit raceways through a plug-in design.
  • Versatile application: Offers reconfigurable power solutions that are essential in hybrid and activity-based environments where furniture and layouts shift frequently. The Connectrac solution allows work and learning spaces to be modified quickly and efficiently without the expense or disruption of major renovations, significantly reducing installation time and labor costs.
  • Adaptable design: Both under-carpet and on-floor raceways will have TR and non-TR versions available.
