Peerless Expands Prim Product Line with New Recessed Version

March 28, 2025

Peerless® announced the launch of Prim Recessed, the latest addition to its Prim product line. Designed to deliver seamless, minimalist aesthetics with exceptional visual comfort, Prim Recessed offers architects and designers a new level of flexibility in creating visually appealing and well-lit spaces.

With true recessed apertures available in 2” and 4” sizes, Prim Recessed offers a new depth of view from traditional linear fixtures, creating a sleek, linear downlight appeal. Its 50-degree cutoff design minimizes glare and top-down flash, providing soft, even illumination that enhances occupant comfort while maintaining a clean, quiet ceiling aesthetic.

“Prim Recessed builds upon the success of our Prim pendant series, delivering the same outstanding performance with a recessed application,” said Jamal Smith, Business Unit Leader, Peerless Lighting. “This new version allows designers to maintain design continuity throughout a space while achieving the desired lighting effect.”

Key features of Prim Recessed include:
  • Seamless Design: A regressed seamless lens paired with architectural trims creates a clean, minimalist look.
  • Visual Comfort: Thoughtfully designed components minimize glare and provide soft, even illumination.
  • Customizable Aesthetics: Choose from ribbed or smooth trim options, square or sculpted endcaps, and a range of color finishes.
  • Versatile Installation: Available for grid, flanged, and flangeless ceiling types, ensuring compatibility with various design preferences.

Prim Recessed retains the signature performance and aesthetic appeal of the Prim pendant version, making it an ideal choice for spaces that require both suspended and recessed lighting solutions. This addition empowers designers to maintain design harmony while meeting diverse application needs.
