Webinar: Section 10 of the 2018 CE Code for Grounding and Bonding – October 27

Join ECABC on October 27th to learn about revisions to Section 10 of the 2018 CE Code for Grounding and Bonding.

This 1-hour seminar will provide an overview of the impact of the numerous changes made to Section 10 in the 2018 CE Code, and will focus on the following key areas:

• Elimination of redundancy and revised layout
• Revised Scope and Objectives for grounding and bonding 
• New terminology  
• Revised requirements for installation of grounding conductors
• “Single point grounding” requirements
• Revised system-grounding requirements for transformers
• Equipotential bonding requirements
• Sizing of grounding and bonding conductors 

The seminar will conclude with a short question and answer session.

Ted Simmons, Chief Instructor of Electrical Trades at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)

Ted Simmons is the Chief Instructor for the Electrical Trades Programs at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Ted is a member of CSA’s Executive Committee for the Canadian Electrical Code Part I (where he is the current Chair of Sections 16, 26 and 64).  Ted is also a member of the Strategic Steering Committee on Requirements for Electrical Safety (SCORES).
